  Raining

On window

Falling down fast

The sky is gray

Wet

 

Hand prints

All on the wall

Up and down the hallways

Sticky dirty muddy hand prints

Pretend

I am a girl

Pretending to travel                               

To comfort

Alongside the willows

Silence

Away from everyone

Just me, only me

Hidden from humanity

People tell me to stop pretending

That I am foolish

I just ignore them

And sit alone

They ask if I’m ok

No

I have faced things that no one else has

Pretending is my escape
